ios - ParticleSystem initially inactive -


as far understand particle system start emitting once it's added parent node. how can add parent not start it, inactive? whenever need can use resetsystem.

send stopsystem stop particle emitter emitting more particles. let existing particles continue until lifetimes expire.

send resetsystem start particle emitter. kill existing particles make system start emitting new particles.

if want prevent system emitting particles in first place, set emissionrate 0 before adding parent. set emissionrate positive number when want emit particles. take @ implementation of -[ccparticlesystem update:] method details.

also, far can tell, parent doesn't start particle system. instead, particle system created in active state. did try sending stopsystem system before adding parent? (setting totalparticles of ccparticlesystemquad appears reset particle system active.)
