android - Install Google Settings on HAXM x86 emulator (Google Maps SDK) -


i've gotten vm accelerated android emulator (4.2.2, api 17) working using intel haxm (on mac). installed google maps sdk using these instructions, this answer previous question - google maps sdk new intel atom x86 emulator - pictures.

therefore, emulator has access google apis. however, need enable location access google apps. done through google settings app, since emulator created targeted api 17 (not google apis 17), maps , google settings not installed.

where can find .apk google settings in order install it? better if there way permanently keep on emulator (so -wipe-data not delete it).

(i know need enable location access because of problem running earlier. see previous question here.)

there new x86 system image available has google apis. install sdk manager - it's under api 19 , called "google apis (x86 system image)". using emulator created image should find have google apis on arm system images (i have tested maps v2 far, worked).
