virtual machine - Hacked Azure VM, how to recover data? -


i believe virtual machine running got hacked, because username , password doesn't work. think server banned computer because tried old password much, tried other devices, , still doesn't work. saw this article, , says can't change password azure management portal, can recover data. how do that?

update: got work way mentioned in link, chad.

a virtual machine based on image in storage container. takes bit track down right vhd, if 1 ms created you, should name_of_your_cloudservice_name_of_your_vm.vhd, , in vhds container.

you download vhd , bring in virtualbox, or try spinning vm based on image. either way, data should still there provided able log machine.

edit: link suggests, deleting corrupt vm, spinning new vm , attaching disk way access data. click on "attach" button @ bottom of virtual machines section of dashboard of new vm , choose existing disk. browse vm , attach.
