android - Switch on screen and let default display timeout take over? -


i'd switch on screen service , let default system timeout take on (i.e. not hold wakelock specific time, hand on control system). i've tried wakelock.acquire() followed wakelock.release() (with screen_bright_wake_lock), doesn't switch on screen @ all. there way achieve service (short of launching new windowmanager.layoutparams.flag_turn_screen_on-dummy-activity)?
