speech recognition - Apply Sphinx4 to voice data recorded in Android Phone -


this sounds weird. but, analyze byte data recorded in android phone sphinx4. and, no result. know come configuration problem. hear idea if have experience sphinx4 & same experience.

i describe environment:

  1. phone (android, nexsus one)

    • sampling rate = 8000
    • audioformat = audioformat.encoding_pcm_16bit
    • channelconfig = audioformat.channel_in_mono
  2. sphinx4

    • samplerate = 16000
    • bigendiandata = false
    • using streamdatasource

so, recorde voice data (byte[]) , then, analyze sphinx4. following example voice (one 2 three) recorded phone.

each byte data separated ":".

if record @ 8000 on android, sphinx4 sample rate must 8000 hz too. need use 8khz model sphinx4 distribution or other 8khz model , need ot set filterbank parameters (upper frequency , on) according documentation

using sphinxtrain models in sphinx4

for example of configured 8khz input see sphinx4/test/performance/wsj_8khz/config.xml

alternatively, record on android @ 16000 hz setting proper audiorecorder parameter. improve accuracy of decoding.
