intel - Obtaining CPU Step Code from CPUID -


i see possible extract cpu specifications using cpuid, haven't seen way extract cpu step code slb8x intel xeon x3360 2.83 ghz 12m cache , 1333mhz manufactured in malayasia. believe same cpu id information relate multiple cpu step codes.

bs in comp sci here, not programmer, getting information programmers see if above possible. alternatively, there table on intel.com and/or amd maps cpuid step code?

the cpu doesn't report that. can find processor information using sudo dmidecode --type processor on linux. you'll information such signature: type 0, family 6, model 45, stepping 7
