SQL Server Import from XLS cant convert Double to int/bit -


so exported sql database out excel file send off edited hand. used microsoft sql server management studio sql server import , export wizard so. edits finished , when go reimport file get

found 7 unknown column type conversion(s) allowed save package

and wont let me run import. seems me though export excel converted int , bit datatypes double datatypes , doesn't know how convert back. did bit of googling , found ssis10tomssql.xml file (which appears control how conversion takes place), don't know how should edit tell wizard how convert correctly.

any input on problem appreciated.

after wayyyyyy many hours spent trying other formats , settings, bit bullet , wrote console app read in csv (exported excel) , run necessary sql on database.
