magicalrecord - Did a successful Core Data migration but the existing store was deleted -


i have coredata store managed magicalrecord. did successful migratiion, lost data in newly created store. have:

salonbookv1.0 original xcdatamodel initial store. added new attributes existing entity, , mappingmodel looks this: (a partial image).

let me elaborate on did...

  • created xcdatamodeld folder both xcdatamodel's in it
  • marked salonbookv1.0 current version , ran app creating entries
  • stopped app, , marked salonbookv1.5 current version , ran app
  • data entered gone! (apparently migration did not occur)?

the migration accomplished; know because can use new attributes. however, existing cd store deleted. have read can on mr, , there 1 method deals migration; mr rest without coding me.

so question remains: why existing store being deleted?

i don't know mr in "normal" core data have set nsmigratepersistentstoresautomaticallyoption persistent store, otherwise not migrate existing data new store version.
